[Created 2026-05-13] Two King County, Washington residents seated on an airplane near MVH-002 (Dutch widow) on KL592 (Johannesburg-Amsterdam, April 25 2026) before she was removed from the aircraft due to her medical condition. Both residents have returned to King County and are asymptomatic. Public Health - Seattle & King County coordinating home-based symptom monitoring after CDC notification. Per King County Public Health primary release (May 12): 'Two King County residents were sitting on an airplane near an ill cruise ship passenger who was removed from the aircraft before takeoff and later tested positive. Both residents have returned to King County. They are both asymptomatic and are monitoring for symptoms at home in coordination with Public Health - Seattle & King County.'
