2 Maryland Residents (flight contacts)

[Created 2026-05-14] Two Maryland residents under monitoring by the Maryland Department of Health after potential exposure to Andes hantavirus during international travel. Both were on a flight that 'briefly included' a passenger from the MV Hondius cruise who was later identified as infected. Neither resident was on the cruise itself. The Maryland Department of Health stressed 'the risk to the public remains very low.' Both remain symptom-free; demographic details (age, sex, county) have been withheld for privacy.
